guy i great you all, can anyone help me about trunk navigating unit powering harness already fitted a touch screen ,black box aircon remote phone module aswell as the middle harness to a trunk nav unite but the screen doesn't come on writting a (50 51 and C1 the advice i get is to power trunk nav unite now i need a help so that my screen will light up please help
Next you need to make sure that the d2b network is activated by looking for a flashing light in the end of the fibre cable when the ignition is turned on.
The screen is controlled from the NAV unit in the trunk/boot if the d2b fibre network is not working or not connected correctly in a loop then the screen will not work.
However....the 50 51 and C1 are usually caused by someone accessing the hidden menu on the touch screen, pressing the S/W Update button and then the 'yes' button.
This will cause the NAV unit to go into a fault mode.
In short this is a bad thing to do and you should never press the 'S/W Update' button in the hidden menu or it will mess up your NAV unit!
I think you may be able to use the latest jaguar Europe 2012 NAV map update DVD to sort this out as this has the updated software on it, but this may not work if it has already been done and/or this is already the DVD in your NAV unit.
I think there is also a DVD image that someone did that can be downloaded with the update?? But I have no idea where on-line this can be obtained.

Thanks for this information since my jag have striped the dashboard due to the gas leak from the air-conditioning ,soon as dash fitted back i will set d2bas instructed yet I only going to fit cd changer, phone module ,nab only .
The nav connections worrying me d2b ,and 3 other connections the middle one direct from the screen is sorted the containing the nav power is my problem and I don't know much about the smallest .wondering if can get assistance from those connections ,but thanks for advice I really do appreciate
However in the s-type all the electrical connections should already be in the trunk/boot. You may have to remove the silver metal plate behind the stack to find them.
You will however need a d2b connection lead. The d2b conectors can be taken apart to reposition the actual fiber cables. There are direction arrows on the connectors.
