RE: Rev limiter???!!!
You'll need a programmer / tuning software that's compatible with a Jag S-Type. Sorry, I've never used one on this car so I'm not familiar with what's out there. Be careful removing the rev limiter, it's there for a reason. Most programmers will let you push it back to a higher RPM vice removing it all together which is usually a better idea. You'd be surprised how many people think they watch their tach and then in a race find the engine banging off the limiter (and saving their ***)...Also, if you're really into racing it you should throw it on a dyno, check the actual powerband, see how much those extra rpm's are really going to get you and then decide on a more suitable place for the limiter. I got pretty into tuning with my other car (a late-model trans am), so post up if you find a good programmer/tuner for the Jag. Have fun!

Lol.. idk.. just revving the engine.. heh..
everytime I do it at stand still, it's limited at like 3,500rpm.
Thanks,

There's something wrong if your rev limiter is set at 3500...You should be going well over that just in casual driving.

RE: Rev limiter???!!!
When you say it goes to 3500 and cuts off do you mean that the engine cuts off and you have to turn the key again?? Also, I'm not sure if I understand here. Im sure you have an automatic tranny. When racing a car you'd rev the engine high in nutral and throw it in gear with a manual tranny. Not usually done in park with an auto. If this is just to hear the engine rev and sound aggressive, in my opinion it isn't worth it. In short, don't do it Sem. I don't want your next post to be "Engine blown, need a new one" or "Does anybody know where I can find a Transmission?" That's my .02
