Had a quick look in search but nothing yet to indicate issue of my own doing.

Yesterday wiped over the rear boot area carpet to clean and left boot lid
up all night to air out , I left lid open and locked the doors with key remote.
(Boot light was not on.)

This morning the alarm went off which I used the remote to stop and
out the boot lid back down.

Later went to start and flat battery.

Used the manual for sequence to jump start with other vehicle which all
went well however before disconnecting the jumper leads I noticed the
reverse lights on.

Thought they may go off or reset once I turned car off and locked/unlocked
car again however they are still on.

Some input would be grateful.

Ok guys cancel above , all is working now.

Possibly a low voltage indicator ??? ,
Took the car for a long run and both lights off now.

Strong suggestion from an oldie, as in age and Jag ownership.

CHARGE that battery with an external charger. Do not rely on the alternator to charge it from flat as that is NOT the design..
