Default Round and round the lug nut goes

If my lug nut is spinning because of the chrome cover had come loose, how can I remove it?

Prise the chrome cover off and the is a smaller nut underneath that you can use a 4 way tyre iron on

+1.

If the inner nut is also damaged, buy a cheap throw away socket that you can pound over top of the nut and hope that you can apply enough torque to break it loose.

The change the remaining 19 lugnuts to the one piece style before they do exactly the same thing.

My experience here:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...al-tips-93257/

When (not if) you replace the stock lug nuts, do two more things. First, the one-piece replacements take a different size wrench, so make sure you replace that. Next, fill up the gas tank, pack a picnic lunch, put the stock lug nuts and the crappy factory wrench in a sturdy paper bag, and go for a scenic drive. Search out a cliff above a deep body of water. Being exceedingly careful not to lose your footing, launch the paper bag and its contents into the inaccessible waters. Next you can enjoy the picnic lunch, knowing you will never have to deal with those ridiculous stock lug nuts and the matching thoroughly useless lug nut wrench.

Picked this up a sears and it has come in very handy on bolts that will just not come off no matter how I try or how much PB blaster I spray on them. Works every time.

Had the tire pumped up by the AAA guy who couldn't remove the nut and took it to my local tire shop. They easily removed the lug and removed not one but two nails from the tire, which now seems to be holding air...

They gave me the lug (driving sans one on the wheel at the moment) and I was able to play with it. The chrome sheath is loose and slides up and down and side to side when I hold the base and move it with my finger.

Ordered one Mitsu lug (

Sorry message got truncated

Ordered one Mitsu lug (MB579290) for fit and to see if I need a new lug-wrench. If everything seems fine I'll then get a full set and then do what kr98664 suggests with the others.

It will fit, and you will need a 21mm lug wrench for it. Get a full set of these lug nuts as soon as possible and you'll never have to deal with this again. Money well spent....
