Unhappy S-Type 2007 2.7 diesel front tyre wear

I have just visited my tyre store and having checked the tyres they showed me that both fronts are so worn on the inside metal was poking through. The tyre looks perfect until you put it up on ramp and oh boy what a shock. I have ordered two Pirelli Zeros and have garaged the car. I cannot understand this as had the car laser aligned about two years ago and cant remember kerbing it. On my last MOT there was a mention of some play in the wishbones but it passed - could that be it. I will be getting the garage to check the alignment. Anyone else had alignment problems

There is a document in the How To section detailing revised specs to avoid wear on the inner edges.

Worth swapping L & R values if any are not symmetrical.

Very common. your toe is out. there are updated toe settings floating around the forum you should make sure the alignment shop follows...

Beyond that, alignment seems to go out frequently on these cars... I do an alignment 1-2 times a year for this very reason...

Default New Pirelli boots

As I said in a earlier post I was horrified when my tyre store told me my tyres were threadbear. I have made sure the new recommended setting are on my alignment. The attached photos show that the tyre looks ok from the outside but brother is it knackered inside.
