s-type 3.0 problems

can anyone help i have a s-type 3.0jaguar 2001 my engine light keeps on coming on and my car shuts off sometimes. when i get it checked they say nothing is wrong

any codes? sometimes on v6 s type there is a bracket near the firewall beside the engine harness and the bracket wears out the wiring andshorts out the ignition... but it all depends on the codes...
