S-Type A/C Climate control system blower comes on after ignition is turned off
i have an 06 str....same feature...blower runs 30 to 45 seconds....over 60, i would say there is a problem....it can be disabled via sdd-ids
So I checked everything from earths to fuses. I didn't change the regulator under the dash but just tried to find the fault on the CCM. after fixing the two issues I had the opposite issue no fan at all. I farted about with the CCM in place and shorted a capacitor to ground and fan operated properly. Power setting were correct and no auto switch on after ignition was turned off.
So I took it to an electronics expert to see if It was a capacitor faulty as well - But he seems to think the switch aspect of the main CPU (I think that's what he said - The large black square shaped Processor on the CCM) He seems to think this isn't switching because it was burnt out through the over heating issue.
So going back to the start the board burnt out due to the valve under the bonnet becoming faulty and the board was on the brink of failing all together after that.
When I get back I should have some answers but that will be a week away if you can hold out till then I can add some more.
Hope this helps.
Aaarggggggg.
Sometimes the power relays shut down. Sometimes they dont.
Ive cut the earth splice that comes from the FEM/REM and the FEM is causing the drain.
Its so intermittent its annoying.
My headlights sometimes flash as though someone is unlocking the car.
Thinking it might be wifi signals causing this ive wrapped the DDM in foil in an attempt to rule this out but its still happening.
Ive changed the heater actuators as they were noisey but the intermittent drain is still there.
It really seems to be the FEM causing it. Ive swapped FEM with another that is programmed to the car. We wait 40 minutes with baited breath.

Just an update. After reading and searching on another jaguar forum. I have removed my intrusion sensors. The OPEN traced his drain to the sensors, I have unprogrammed using IDS and removed the sensors from the accessory list.
IDS/ADD doesn't ask me now it they are fitted. I have rigged up a test light so I can check if the power relays in the boot power down. It makes sense that the lights flash when unlocking, as it's indicating an alarm event.
Both passive and active sounders have been disabled, along with intrusion sensors, and perimeter alarm.
