I have a Foxwell NT520pro which has done what I needed it to do on both my S-Types and X-Types. Some success on my X300s too as far as I recall.
It's been updated - see here

Just curious... what is wrong, or what do you find lacking with the i930?

@knares, describe the problem and symptoms you're experiencing with the HVAC system.

Is the system fully charged with refrigerant?

NBCat
the A/C works fine, hot or cold, its great
when i lock the car or just turn the ignition off, four and a half minutes later the air con fan turns its self on, which i am told is normal
but, it doesn't turn its self off, which is not normal, and it flattens the battery

What you're describing is a symptom of a sticking or stuck thermostat, which causes the cooling module to come on as it's controlled by the PCM.

Note the 3.0 litre Duratec engine does not have a typical temperature sensor immersed in coolant to read the engine temperature. Instead, there's a head temperature sensor mounted on Bank1 that determines engine temperature and communicates it to the PCM.

Do not rely on the instrument cluster gauge to determine engine temperature. Use a smart phone with the Torque app to connect the PCM through the OBD port with a Bluetooth interface to read live data from the PCM, including engine temperature.

this is not the radiator fan, its the heater A/C fan
when i turn the ignition key on, it goes off, turn the ignition key off and four and a half minutes later it comes on again

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I suggest you follow, if you already haven't done so, the diagnostic procedure for the HVAC system in this thread:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ol-how-185002/

In this thread, Karl covers many of the issues that can cause the system to malfunction, and how to step-by-step diagnosis the cause(s)..

Hmm, that sounds like a problem with the Air Conditioning Control Module (aka control panel), the brains of the system. Have you looked at getting a used replacement?

For control of when the fan runs, I think it's just a simple timer. X number of minutes after shutdown the fan starts, as you have observed. It's supposed to run a short time and then shut off, which unfortunately your fan is not doing.
