Battery Tender Routing
Moving my S-Type in for a few months and want to wire up a CTEK charger. What's the best way to route the charger lead wiring out of the trunk for access? I assume (as I have done on other cars) that I just hook the leads directly to the battery.
This thread may be of interest for an easier method to connect a battery tender:

Rather than dealing with the leads in the trunk, you can connect via the front power distribution box under the hood. You can leave the hood open for ease in routing the wires. If you'd rather close the hood, you can prop it open a few inches with a block of wood or similar.
If you'd still prefer to connect directly at the battery, you can gently close the trunk lid on the wires. The seal will compress and not cause any damage.
Before putting the car away for the season, make sure the key works to manually unlock the trunk in case the battery tender fails and the battery goes flat. You can't believe how many tales of woe we've heard about a dead battery combined with a key that doesn't work.
Oh that's nice to see. I suppose I could route the wires into that power distribution box and hang them under the car. I find it pretty convenient when I can reach under the car and connect the wires directly.
