Nah Just a Landau top added aftermarket, probably by some florida dealer trying to sell this thing to grand marquis / lincoln town car loyalists.... Shame too cause that was a nice car.

The wear on the steering wheel makes me suspect that car may have more than 21k miles though...

Ok, that car is really bizzare.....

Number one it is the most stripped one I have seen. No memory seat and no heated seats...

Number two it has front park distance control... Huh???

Notice the front sensors, then the front park button is there on the overhead console yet the car doesn't even have homelink....

It looks like they retrofitted a vinyl top from another car onto the s type. It doesnt even follow the s types lines at all. Looks almost like a Grand Marquis top cut and fitted to the car. If you look at the interior shots its over some of the back window and the back small window in the door. I bet this car was really messed up from something and they just pieced it back together using some junk yard parts.

Execution -- not bad. Inception -- wrong! It's obviously fake. The mascot would unf. be illegal in UK and Europe.
Now I'm wondering what a genuine soft-top conversion would look like (top down of course).
Leedsman.

No, No, No, It's what is called a "mock top". These can be found on everything from Ford's to, in this case Jaguars. They involve glueing plastic ribs to the roof, then it is wrapped in vinyl and finally trimmed with fake snaps.

Here are some other examples... Got to be one of the tackiest car add ons of all time!

OMG.... someone put one on a new Camaro!

A more common version
