Default S-type engine swap

Am I able to swap a 3.0L V6 engine for a STR 4.0L V8 supercharged in my 2001 Jaguar S-type? If so what type of modifications would I need to make it perform well.

It would be far simpler and less costly to just purchase an S-Type R.

The wiring loom, ECM, TCM and many other parts such as suspension are very different from the normally aspirated S-Type.

I have another question for you NBCat, is the 3.0L S-type a non-interference fit or an interference fit?

The Ford Duratec 3.0 litre units, as fitted to the S-Type, are interference-design.
