Default S-Type LPG Fuel engine management display problem

Hi,

Onto my second Jaguar S-Type now and this one runs on LPG and for the first time ive let it run right down in order to use the petrol up a bit to save sitting on a time bomb due to filling up while that daft fuel rush kicked in last week.

Anyway the alarm went off on the lpg device to tell me it was running/ran out last night on the way home so it auto switches to petrol, got home within 5 mins of this going off and today on turning it over the thing almost died/engine management light came on and warning says "restricted performance" i noticed it wouldnt boot it. So off to the gas station (first time ive ever called it that) and filled up with lpg. Now the warning message "restricted performance" has gone off but the engine management light remains on.

Does anyone know if the likely cause of this problem is the running out of lpg or is it just coincidence?

I'm not a big believer in coincidence.

It shouldn't have happened, no matter what.

A cheap code reader should tell you what the (detected) fault is. Post any codes here by all means! (And try Search with them, too.)
