First of all, My apologies. I haven't been here for ages. Also, I have looked through the older threads but can't find the problem that I'm having with my reversing sensors on my 2005 3.0 S-Type sport. I'm not saying there isn't a thread there, just that I haven't found one. Oh, and also excuse me if I come across as 'blunt'. I'm very frustrated, I seem to be lurching from ne problem to another, but anyway. I get a long beep when I put the car in reverse, saying that there is a problem and the sensors are not sensing. I found that the center left sensor is not clicking. Ordered and received a new second hand sensor. Managed to get the offending sensor out by just removing the bottom half of the bumper, and with a mirror and a torch out it came. Fitted the replacement and the problem was still there. put the original back in, the problem had gone. Couple of days later, the same again no reversing sensors. then I read that the parking assist module can be an issue, especially in a damp environment. I still don't know why but, last year my boot had about an inch of water around the spare wheel. Never done it before and hasn't since. Same again ordered and fitted a new second hand parking assist module. Hurray problem solved. Took the car for a short spin, then put it all back together. Tried it again, and the problem is back again. I know nothing about electrics and am now stumped and a little demoralised.
I would be grateful for any help. Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem, but without the history of water in the trunk. I have checked the module connections - meaning, disconnected and reconnected, with no change. The reverse sensors just trigger the extended (and annoying) beep - which I do cancel by the roof console switch.
So I’d also like to hear about a fix, if there is one. I am fully aware that this problem is caused by one or more faulty sensors… or, given what the OP says above, perhaps not.
If it stops raining tomorrow. I plan on swapping a couple of the known to be good sensors around. If that shows nothing, I plan on re-enacting Einar's (Kirk Douglas) funeral scene from the movie 'The Vikings'.

I had one go bad and then a second; at that point it seemed prudent to just replace the rest of them. Problem solved. On the early cars they have to be painted to match the bumper and the cost is the same for one or for a batch...
I am having an issue as well so I'm adding it on here. I haven't been driving the Jaguar long, but I was driving and thinking "man I got used to cameras and sensors, I kind of wish this car had them, then walked to the rear of the vehicle and noticed that there are in fact sensors.
I have a few cables that are not connected to anything (photos attached), which I believe may be the issue, but I don't see a connection point for them.
The pictures are nice, but you need to include the model year in your post as the color codes have been known to change from year to year. Also, if not originally equipped with sensors, the control module is most likely missing and the system electronics may need to be reconfigured to reflect the addition of this option...
