S-Type Problem with Demisting
Good Morning all,
I have a problem with my 2007 S-Type. The airconditioning is not working correctly. When I operate the system it will follow the control panel in terms of temperature, however when I select the demist facility - the rear and front LEDs illuminate, the fan switches to maximum but no air is directed to the windscreen. I have also selected the mode switch for feet and windscreen direction and have the same issue. My best guess would be that there is a problem with either the control of the servo motors or the motors themselves. Clearly there could be a mechanical jam which is causing this.
If anyone has any advice they can offer me it would be appreciated.
Many thanks

As you have indicated, the most likely suspect in your case are the servo motors. First things first, though - check all HVAC-related fuses....
Be aware that pieces of the foam insulation inside the HVAC ducts release over time and get blown around inside the ducts. They typically make their way out to the air vents where they can be plucked out using tweezers or needlenose pliers, but it may be possible for these foam pieces to block the blend doors and prevent them from moving....
