Default Stubborn, but out now

Well my mechanic basically did nothing different than I was doing and eventually got all the pins out.
However, two of them are bent out of shape, I'm not sure if I can save them.
Has anyone in the rust free south got some of these pins around?
I am considering drilling/tapping and using say a 10-32 stainless cap screw to replace them

Default brembo Hardware Kit Part number for FRONTS

When I bought my car, I was given one new front Brembo Caliper, and one used which needs to be refurbished.
In the box with the new caliper is/was a Brembo Hardware kit which is basically the pins and the retainer spring.
Brembo P/N# 98.5030.40
I am looking to see if I can shorten, and use these pins in the parking brake caliper.

I wouldn't advise doing that the pin has a groove in it so the retaining spring will sit in it and not move so it could work itself out. I had one of mine move and made a loud noise as it was rubbing on the rotor and I had to reseat it. Also the pin it designed to sit perfectly in the hole so it doesnt work itself out with vibrations. I would maybe try Brembo for the pins I have seen the emergency parking brake caliper on several different exotics with Brembos so I dont see why they wouldnt be able to tell you where you can source some.

The part number for the pin kit for the EPB is C2C21784. You could try and see if the dealership can order it. I tried looking up on google with no luck seems Brembo parts are really hard to find.

Default Pins

At lunch I checked the front pins are a larger diameter than the rear.
I am almost certain the rear pins are the same, atleast extremely similar between the parkign cal and the main.

The rear Brembo is a different size then the EPB. I actually put them into the wrong calipers and noticed it when they didnt seat as they were supposed to then realized my error. If I was you its looking like your best bet would be trying to straighten the ones they removed depending on how bent they are.

Default Brembo Parts to rebuild a caliper

Well, trying to complete this tonight.... one piston is stuck and cannot be pushed back, so I guess I am looking for brembo pistons/seal parts.
I have seen some surbaru posts rebuilding the calipers looks like 40mm and 44mm pistons in that case - does anyone know the parts required, or a similar branded brembo application which I can look up a kit.

BTW, the pad pins look VERY similar to others around. I am going to try to drum up an accurate P/N cross and post, mat take a while, I got my old ones back in, but it would be easy to replace them in the summer.

Here are pretty much all the sizes of the piston seals for the Brembos just got to find out what the sizes are. They may have other stuff I would try calling them.

Default In need of assistance please

have an 03 s type r and I am in need of the rear parking brake calipers. I have the part numbers (# C2C11644 and C2C11643) if someone can please help me and push me in the right direction I would sincerely appreciate it. I need these parts to get my out of province inspection done, without that inspection the car is rendered useless and I'm unable to drive it.

The EPB calipers themselves failed and need replacing?

What sort of issues are you having?

BTW, seeing you're in Windsor, maybe join our group:

Those seem to be the right part numbers. What sort of help do you need? Do the forum vendors not have them?

Honestly I cannot find them. The out of province inspection did not yet fail but will because of the parking brake calipers (the park brake pads arent a big issue I am able to find them). I cannot find the parking brake calipers. Can someone perhaps send me a link to where I can find them cause at this point little things like the parking brake (after putting in quite a hefty some as is on the car) are going to drive me crazy. I do appreciate it gentlemen.

Can you say what happened to them?

We don't see anyone replacing these at all.

The park brake calipers from the Brembo equipped STR/XJR are also used on the Alcon-equipped XKR. They are made by Brembo as well.

Here's some used ones off ebay 03 04 05 Jaguar Brembo Handbrake Caliper Left and Right GC P N 22 8274 02 | eBay

And here's some more Jaguar XK 'Brembo' Brake Calipers Pair C2P15988 9 | eBay

I would try with SNG Barratt if they can get you some new ones, since you never know the condition of used ones (even though I am still struggling to guess how they could fail, they are so simple in design...)

I went ahead and ordered them off of SNG even though I was avoiding to pay the quite steep price per unit. Even though sng beat the dealer price it was still very expensive at 500 a pop. The reason I was told that the rear park brake calipers needed changing is because they were seized up and were apparently rusty and in poor condition. I got into the mess because I just moved provinces in Canada from Ontario to Alberta. There is an out of province inspection that is required before any vehicle from another province is registered. Along with getting new tires, new brakes (all pads and rotors), some sensor for the adapative dampening (suspension), and some bushings for the front lower CA I had to get the rear park brake calipers done. Long story short - my wallet got the third degree. So much so that I am now considering after getting the car back and registered, to sell it.

Damn... sounds like you just dropped a stack on repairs... feel for you!

Although I'm still questioning whether or not those EPB's were really bad... were you getting any EPB errors?

+1.

I have little faith in safety inspections, about as useless and a counterproductive fuster cluck as smog testing.

On a couple occasions the dash lit up showed park brake fault. Even though in these types of inspections they got you by the plums in most cases I can vouch for my guy. In fact he respectfully advised me to take it back to Ontario and sell it before he touched it. Said there was alot of rust underneath. Which I guess is expected in a humid area such as Windsor. The fact the car was sitting outside on the driveway for well over two months while I was in the middle of moving didn't work in its favour either. Oh well can't cry over spilled milk. Not too concerned about it anymore. Probably just end up keeping it and loving it some more.
