S-type rear Hubs, bearings, axles and knuckles.
I am gradually collecting parts to upgrade/rebuild my S-type rear end (1999-2002) and have some questions on P/Ns and/or compatibility with Lincoln LS/Thunderbird.
The outer rear Jaguar rear Suspension has a hub with a separate bearing pressed into the knuckle. The bearing has a retaining ring holding it in. The hub is 28 spline, in a common Ford diameter. The S-type hubs appear to be unique compared with many other Ford hubs of similar design. - S-type uses longer bearings, but of the same ID, versus other Fords with IRS. The length of the spline on the axles is longer versus other Ford IRS cars.
Is the S-type Rear hub the same as the Lincoln LS and Thunderbird?
S-Type P/N W0133-1824565
LS/Thunderbird P/N XW4Z-1109-AA
As far as I can tell, the S-type hub Bearing is the same as the LS/Thunderbird
The knuckles appear to be the same Between the LS and S-type
Are the S-type axles the same as Lincoln LS? They look similar to other Ford cars, but the S-type puts the tone ring on the outside by the knuckle, and other Fords place the tone ring by the differential.
I hope everyone has little bits of information to fill in a better understanding of parts that can be used on our S-types.

S-Type R (XJ350) rear hub carrier VIN numbers from (V)N38573 up to (V)N52047
Note the second mounting bosses for the parking brake and a different boss for the VSS sensor

Question:
Does anybody have any information or images they an post for 2006 and later Jaguar XK rear hub carriers. They look very similar to the S-type hub carriers but have a bolt hole pattern in them that may take a bolt on hub rather than a press in bearing. The P/Ns are C2P11647 (LH) and C2P11646 (RH). There is very little information on the web regarding these parts.
Thanks.

Tijoe maybe you should ask in the XK Section.

I posted a question on the XK rear hub carrier over a week ago. Lots of reads, but no responses. Any other ideas on how to get more information on these hub carriers?
