Default S-Type Tire Recomendations

Sorry for the all the rookie posts today, but we are just pretty phyched about our new (to us) jag! The tires that came on this car are near the end of their life, and am looking for some opinions on tires. I will need to get two sets, as winter tires are a must here in Minnesota, so I am thinking a summer and winter tire are in order. I will get a second set of rims for the winters as well.

Thank you all so much for your help and advice. I have been a part of a couple of these kinds of forums in the past, but this seems to be even better than the other ones!

Cheers,
Bryan

Welcome to the forum. I use Bridgestone Potenza RE960A/S Pole Position summer /all-season I love them best tire's i have used so far. For the winter i use Bridgestone Blizzak WS50. I think the best winter tire's for the $$$ hands down. They dont make them any more but have new ones that replace them are the Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 or 70's.

I have been using Goodyear Eagle GTs for about 50k miles. They grip really well. So far, I have managed to wear them out at about 25-30k but Goodyear is really good at prorating for me and the replacements usually are less than half the original cost. The replacements also come with a new 50k warranty and so presumably they will be replaced at about 1/2 when they wear out as well.

Here is what they look like.
