My roommates S won't start and it's either the starter or the battery. It's most likely the battery, we have a charger on it now. But I wanted to know if anyone has taken the starter out and if so can you give me some tips or if it was easy/difficult?

 

I haven't removed my starter, but I had recently been under my automobile and looked at it. Doesn't seem to be a problem to remove. Maybe an hour, hour an a half total replacement. Before I remove the starter I would take the battery to a local auto parts joint have them load test it. Don't rule out the alt/generator.
