Sat Nav
Hi, I imported a Japanese s-type 2002 3ltr V6, bought an Europe/uk sat nav disc and it won’t load. Just keep getting an ‘insert map dvd’ message. My question is should there be two discs? The Japanese sat nav disc loads ok, so the player is working. Not sure what to try next.
Possable disk failure ?
or maybe you need to reprogram your audio's country of Origen . Via IDS / SDD.
i have a japan spec too ,
It has some differences to the uk and us audio protocol .
were as the short cuts that I see work for most
x type , s type and xj Nav premium owners are locked ,- such as the three button security code bypass is locked .
also the short cut three button access to the country/frequinsy option is locked .
-also the hidden menu can be accessed but any changes revert back to program default on next power up .
So basicly locked as well .
I found were you can manually check the boxes for components and country in IDS then reflash the modules .
but this is all useless if you have no access to IDS and a VCM .
just a thought .
