shifting into drive

Default shifting into drive
after selecting drive somtimes the engine revs like is still in neutral. I slide it over towards 4th then back into drive and everything seems normal . Is this a common problem and is there a adjustment that I can make?

Mine is the same but I don't slide it over I just wait. It says in the handbook this is normal for a five second delay when putting into drive. How long are you having to wait ?
