Should I keep the Jag?

Should I keep the Jag?
I remember the saying “Jaguar owners always own 2 Jags’ one to drive while the other was in the shop”.
Well before I bought my 2006 S-Type last month I did a little investigatory on the Jaguar.
Found out that saying was par , pre Ford. Post Ford that was not true.
I am now beginning to have seconds thoughts.
My engine light “amber” came on last Thursday, so I brought my Jag in first thing Friday morning “last Friday”.
The local Jaguar dealer has had my Jag since 8:00 Friday morning last week. And as of today Wednesday “today” still not sure when they will have it fixed. They thought it was a air sensor “something” causing the Engine light to come on. But changed that out and still no change, now it might be the computer.
The car is still under manufactures factory warranty.
Has anybody had any issues with there S-types?
I am beginning to questions my local Jaguar dealer’s level of expertise in trouble shooting my Jag.
Or better yet is it the dealer's ability to fix the Jaguar or is that the Jaguarcan't be fixed?
This would even be worse if i did not have my weekand car, a rental would be costly. Can't do economy.

RE: Should I keep the Jag?
Ouch Cajun, sorry to hear that. I've had the check engine light come on twice since I got the car about 8 months ago. Once for a misfire, and the other was a spook. Came once and never showed up again. I however, have the more problematic pre-03 model. I don't know how much more reliable the 03+ models are, but you should be fine. Try taking it to a different dealer, and try to get us the error code that came up so that our forum Jaguar experts can help out and maybe lead you in the right direction.

RE: Should I keep the Jag?
Local Jaguar dealerjust called meabout my Jag.
They have been in contact with Jaguar support and nothing has worked yet.
Checked all sensors computer etc. . .
Jaguar support told my dealer that there is
probably a short in a wire between the engine compartment and the dashoard.
They even ask me if my garage has rats, that could have chewed through the wiring.
I said no , I had no rats in my garage.
So as of right now no indication on when the car would be ready. They are going to have
to trace the wires to try to find the short.
I am hoping this is not goingto bean exercise in futility.
