relevant to #8- you indicated a number of sensors were sending info to the pcm to effectuate the correct air/gas, ect to get the idle or any speed within its parameters.

I am assuming the TPS is one of those and I am asking if that could be causing me the slight rough idle at idle with the ac on (although it appears nowhere else to be a problem) I have no codes. I believe that I have read where a TPS can get slightly oxidized or lose some carbon in its operation (that I am less sure of the truth of the last one) and if there is method to clean without screwing up the throttle body. My throttle body had only the slightest indication of anything from a build up of any sort and even a slight cleaning yielded a slightly discolored cleaner for a few seconds and that was that.

TPS is actually 2 sensors designed with different characteristics so faults can be detected. You sound to be thinking of old, crude, cars not S-Types. If you don't have TPS codes all is OK.
