Default slop in drive train

The one thing I have noticed since I've had the R is it seems to have a lot of play in the drive train, has anybody seen any service bulletins regarding this issue?

No, but I don't understand what you mean / how you tell it has "slop". Please give details...

At steady speed I can let off and tap the gas to induce a small amount of clunking. But I can do this on pretty much any rear wheel drive car.

Maybe look at the drive shaft for extra play?

That's it exactly. If I take off in 1st gear and accerate smoothly it seems ok, but if i hit the gas you get the clunking, I thought I saw a bulletin regarding adding a shim for smoother shifting.

Yes please see the attached TSB. I have added the shims and they did nothing to change the small clunking I have.

As I said I think it's pretty normal?? But it's not related to the shifting. It's when you drive in steady state and let off and on the gas.
