For those of you who are amazed by the price of some parts for your jag i have found out a couple things regarding parts interchanging.

I had to search high and low but i finally found some things that work and don't.

For the subwoofer amplifier (located under package tray) on 2000 and 2001 S-types.

ford part number: F8OF-18C808-BA

this amp was on alot of ford models.

I got one from a 1998 ford Explorer. and it works freaking awesome! 20 bucks from a salvage yard!


I have heard that the front window regulators from a Lincoln LS work but i haven't heard anything concrete about the rears. so i bought one for for 30 dollars.


So everyone knows for sure now. The rear regulators from a LS WILL NOT WORK! The motors will but the regulators won't.



I just figured that you all might like to know about the amplifier mainly.

 

Good info...did the amp just plug in or what did you have to do? Or did you already have an amp and it stopped working?

 

I Bought the front regulator fora Lincoln LS to put on my 2000 Jag S-Type. Never had the chance to try to install it yet. Will post as soon as I do.

 

the car had an amp but it was broken. the one from the explorer plugged right in and works great!

 

You'd be surprised how many parts in these cars are ford product! At least every other part I was looking at when removing my rear bumper said ford on it! LOL! Mostly anything you can't see is ford!

 

Does anyboy know if a 1998 Ford Lincoln amplifier No. F8VF- 18C808 will work in a 2000 S type?

see if it plugs in. the middle numbers are the same it might just work.

 

LS regulator does work. Installed today. Just a little more noisy than the others but it works fine. Front Right was installed.

 

Yes the FRONT regulators will.

The REARS WILL NOT. I found that out the hard way. lol.
