Default Soon another meth injected STR

So I bought the stage 2 snow kit from qwiketz. Waiting on a few new parts to get here from Summit but I should be up and running by this weekend!

Sweet, you have a pulley done as well? Which one? Maybe a before and after dyno? Not sure if the meth injection will net more power, or simply more consistent power output... might not be readily apparent on a dyno, but keep us posted with feedback on long term impressions,

Boy I hope you can document the install with pictures for the rest of us lost souls?

Will you piggy back off the stock washer bottle or completely separate?

I do have a 3lb pulley, but I haven't put it on there as of yet (I wanted to get the injection kit first) and I do plan on doing a write up with pics for the lost souls! And I was going with the stock washer bottle, pretty big, and a built in low fluid warning. Plus I wouldn't know where to mount another bottle except the trunk.

3lb pulley + meth injection I think is a potentially great combo for making the most out of the eaton, I am strongly considering going that route myself.

Factory washer bottles serve very well as meth reservoirs, plastic is a great medium for storing meth, their capacity is pretty well suited for meth tank purpose, and their location makes plumbing and install pretty easy and out of the way,

keep it up!

I would love to go twin screw, but this will have to hold me over for now!

Mike, when considering the stock washer tank; how long can one go between re-fills?

The reservoir that you can get from Snow is 3 quarts vs 4 for our washer reservoirs. Snow says about one of their reservoirs to a tank of gas, but a lot is going to depend on when I have it set to come on, and how aggressive I am driving. Of course I will report back to everyone on the outcomes as well!

What size nozzle is included in the kit, do you happen to know?

Depends on a variety of factors of course, when it engages, tank capacity, nozzle, how you drive it, but I think a washer bottle full of water-meth/water/meth, should last at least one fill up, and up to 3 or more fill ups if its serving lighter duty.

^^^ I would think especially if you can switch it on/off or have it only activated "on demand".

I'll have to check to see what the nozzle size is, but it uses the MAF signal to activate, and then ramp up to full. The snow performance system is adjustable which is nice.

Any of the kits worth using are switched on by boost pressure, either tapped into a MAP sensor or supply their own. They can then be setup to spray progressively as boost ramps up.

They're also wired in through their own relay, so you most certainly can switch the system on/off at your leisure, as well as being disabled when a low level sender trips.

I run an alkycontrol meth injection kit, running straight meth, in my other car. 94 octane + the meth I run the GT35R setup over 26psi, about 550whp at that boost level. At over 30psi on 110 + meth, I'm about 600rwhp.

They have one that uses boost pressure, but this kit uses the MAF signal. I was thinking about boost vs MAF and for something that is more a daily driver I believe it will serve my uses better. It will only come on when I am really hammering it so the fluid should last longer. I am not going to do any tuning with it, just mainly to keep the blower/aftercoolers cooler so the car doesn't retard timing and dump fuel when it starts to get hot.

Meth by itself is a great safe guard. You can net extra power by tuning the vehicle to run more timing or run a little leaner. Great upgrade!

I have the MAF version on my XKR and like that it's based on engine load rather than boost pressure. A roots type blower is pretty non-linear on boost so the MAF signal is more "tunable" in that sense.

Highly recommend the on/off switch and the mondo 7L washer reservoir in the XK will last a couple of tanks of gas if driving sensibly. A LOT less than that for spirited driving.

Yes MAF version of these kits would be perfect for the STR, excuse me if I said MAP based is the way to go, any kind of load-based progressive controller is the way to go with a meth kit. I run a MAP based metering on my other car along with the alkycontrol meth kit, hence why my mind was on the MAP.

michael, let me know how the 3lb goes along with the meth kit, maybe even a dyno, hmm? You might just sell me on going this route with mine...

If that 7L XK washer reservoir fit’s the S Type that would really be the way to go!!

Do you use Boost Juice or the old standby - washer fluid rated for cold temperatures?

Yes, once I have it all together Dynos galore will be done! The only thing that will throw it off is I am running 20s instead of the 18s stock. I am not sure if I will go with the boost juice or washer fluid. Ive been lurking on the mustang boards reading up on all of it.

Boost juice is nice because of the consistency. Ww fluid varies quite a bit in methanol content. Cold weather stuff has the higher content.
