Default Spark Plug Gap

I am getting ready to change plugs as I do a valve cover gasket repair.

I am at Rock's looking at the Iridium's and they not that the spec gap is 0.050 and yet Denso, Champion and others have the gaps at anywhere from 0.54 all the way down to 0.40.

What is the difference for a 2005 3.0 V6 S0type? What works best?

Thanks

Tom in dallas

Tom

Do you know what you used? I assume that Bosch would do the correct ones

The original spark plugs fitted by Jaguar were Denso units. The JLR part number is C2S46895.

Cross reference the part number with other brands to ensure correct fitment and heat range.

I used the - imho - best spark plugs on the market for all my cars (except XJS, where they do not offer them for): Denso TT (twin tip)
And for your 3.0L S-Type the correct model is Denso IT20TT (iridium, twin tip)

PS: ...and on those Denso TT spark plugs, you do not have to worry about the gaps - the gap there is just right as it is.

Your link says: Denso IT20TT - which is exactly, what I wrote.

I have my wisdom from the Denso TT catalogue:
https://www.denso.com/global/en/prod...og_generic.pdf

page 68.

Not sure what to say as Denso is in disagreement in one area of their parts and in agreement in another area for the same part. Don't we just love cars!
