Could someone help me with this one. i want to change the spark plugs on my 2001 S-Type 4.0 with NGK Iridium. Does anyone know what the gap is supposed to be set at? I heard that there is a new revised gap for the S-Type from the original spark plugs. Thanks

 

Kennedy, it appears the new spec is 0.052". The original spec was 0.039-0.043".

Thank you, That is exactly what i thought when i looked at the ngk iridium and that is exactly the gap they posted. Now, why would they change the gap from the original gap?
