Default Steering Wheel Advice

I bought my 2005 s type a few weeks ago. I have had a few mechanical issues but thanks to the members here most have been resolved.

Now on to appearance the interior is almost perfect EXCEPT the steering wheel. I think the previous owner used lot and lots of lotion on her hands for it has ate off literally the leather from the steering wheel. I can't stand this and it has to be replaced.

Question: How do I remove the steering wheel? I have searched and searched no avail.

I am getting a new wheel so no repair will be made to the old one, just need to know how to remove and place the wheel.

THANKS

Anyone???? I assume it's like taking any other steering wheel off. My concerns are the air bag. Will unhooking my battery for a hour or so have any effect on my Car?

Does your car have the steering angle sensor? If so, I think they're programmed into the car (so it knows where it's set).

The battery disconnect should be what you need, other than maybe the sensor issue if it is an issue.
