When I start my Jag and the seats and steering auto adjust my steering wheel kind of squeaks/grinds. Is there a way to lubricate or otherwise stop this?

 

Do a forum Search for steering additive, it has been covered before and the guys who have used it report good results. available at dealer for a decent price.

I'm doubtful about the additive as I expect the PAS only does it when used. Maybe the bush that's sometimes been mentioned. Might be JTB00034 (now JTB00034v3)?

Or just look for all moving parts and apply a little grease?

 

Had a squeaking noise when turning the wheel on my 2001 S-Type. Investigated it further and it turned out to be one of the lower balljoints. Had a machine shop press the old balljoint out and press a new on in - no more squeaking.
