Default Steering wheel not clocked correctly

I've just collected my first Jag, an '02 S-Type with 120K km on it. It's in pretty good nick for it's age, but no doubt there will be some issues that pop up from time to time. My first project involves re-setting the steering wheel to centre, because at the moment straight ahead sees the 'top' of the wheel at about the 1 o'clock position. It's not critical I know, but it is a bit annoying, so I think I should address it.
My main concern is with the airbag naturally enough, but after reading eds123 great write-up at https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...val-faq-61287/, I'm more at ease with the job. I guess I'm just after some reassurance. I have the code for the radio once the battery is re-connected, but is there anything else that needs resetting?

cheers
ian

Your car probably has a steering angle sensor and if has then do not upset it! (You'd need a dealer tool to correct it.)

Start by checking the front tracking (toe) and that both sides are the same - both as measured and at the adjustment threads. Quite likely something will be wrong and that's why the steering wheel is out of position.
