Post steering wheel play

my s type 3.0 2005 just came from the shop replaced passenger lower control arm both sway bar bushings and stabalizer liks took it for a drive and now there is excessive play in the steering. when im driving and steering left to right the car is rocking. took it back to them and they said everything is tight and ok. they say there is something else causing it but the steering was tight and very responsive before i changed those parts. can anyone give some insight on what to check, and yes alignment was done right after. the car drives in a straight line its just the steering is very slack with alot of movement. very dangerous at high speeds

OK, Based on the content of your post, I think it is safe to say that the shop that did the work messed something up..

I can't speak of other posters, but I couldn't even guess given the number of things you listed as replaced..

It's my guess that it wasn't done by a Jaguar dealer.. Not that there is anything wrong with using an independent. If it was my car I'd be prepared to pay a Jaguar dealer to go over the car and figure out what the other shop did wrong...

It is entirely possible that they fitted the wrong components... Note that the "wrong" spec suspension components can drastically affect the performance of a car...even if they fit....

+1 on that

It should be better not dramatically worse. I hope they used the right parts, even if they fouled up somewhere along the line.

It can't be wrong then. But it is. So they screwed up somewhere, whether wrong parts, fitted wrongly or whatever.

I'd take it back. They broke it so they should fix it.
