This is a question that could apply to both the facelift S-Type and the XJ X350....maybe i'm in the wrong section here...

Does anyone know, if the steering wheels are interchangeable?

I've seen a couple of listings on ebay where the seller states that an XJR wheel will also suit an STR.

Basically, I have an X350 XJR, and I want to change the steering wheel from the half-wood/leather, to a full-leather one. I've got my eye on a wheel from an S-Type R at the moment...

I'll want to keep my original airbag, just change over the wheel.

Also checked the JEPC, the part numbers for the wheels and airbags are totally different. I just wonder, that perhaps the difference with the steering wheel is that the wood ones from the XJ's are heated, whereas the S-Types are not.

I know that the X350 Portfolio's that came with a full-leather wheel and it wasn't heated, and they look identical to the wheel from the STR.

Anyone know for sure? Thanks!
