Default STR I/C coolant tank mounting

ok so i had the front off my car for a wile now , doing various repairs after running over a fairly solid wild animal . witch ran out in front of me and ended up as cat food . the repairs are coming along well .
any way i found an un used space in my str . in witch are very few and far between .
whilst upgrading the I/C coolant pump to a bosch 010 pump
i was keen to increase the coolant capacity for the I/C cooling circuit as well.
so i done a bit of measuring and made a dummy cardboard tank to fit the space under the air box ! took it round to a mates place and he basically turned my cardboard tank in to 4mm alloy .
i drilled no holes in the car and mounted the tank with holes that already existed . and directly above the tank is a hole/provision to run the inlet and outlet coolant pipes through back to the engine bay !
i still have to weald the 18mm right angle hose tails to the tank , but thats all that remains to complete the tank. it fits snug and clears all components around it . i was going to ad a mount strap also to the lower front guard/wing bolt . but it is mounted so solid & sturdy how it is i will just leave it as it is .

what i ended up with is this . its exactly 4.04 liters capacity

Isn't there an extra air inlet when the solenoid operates? It's not going to obstruct that?

no it won't its not actually under the air box.
its more forward . under the head light really . the tank is actually in front of/or mounted to the front of the radiator support beam , as in the most forward part of the dew98 platform . on the outer side of the chassis .
it can't block that on mine any way . as it has the mina cold air box and a pod .
i know what you think of those but but i purchased the car with a hot air intake kit ! ha .
so no air box came with the car . my best value for money defense from hot air was the mina partition , which with some bending and radiator foam around its perimeters is a well sealed box . trust me .
this photo will help under stand the positioning better i think .

this is looking striate down through the air box . as you can see no tank is directly below the air box .

Nice work mate! Looks like a very clean set up, I'd definitely be interested if you can make another one.

so the tank in mounted , plumbed , and bleed . i intercepted the return pipe from the charge cooler to the intercooler . had to buy about $150 worth of pipes to get the bends.
i used gates heater hose joiners were necessary.
i also added a bleeder to the tank along with a drain bung .
if i were to do it again id just run two pipes along the underside of the alloy bumper beam.(one) across to the i/c pump out let and the other to the charge cooler supply pipe.

but that would have been too easy .

i fitted my 101 bosch I/C pump ,this thing is one heck of a pump . it makes the old hella pump look some what inferior . i also added a reservoir to separate my I/C circuit from my engine coolant circuit as well. i swapped my main reservoir hoses for a new NA s type v8 pipe set to eliminate the I/C filler pipe . and have left a spare pipe on the i/c reservoir so i can exchange pressure to the i/c circuit from the original bleed nipple on the main reservoir if i feel the need . but with four extra liters in the i/c circuit i don't think it will be necessary . here is a few shots of the plumbing .
