Default STR Subforum

Wouldn't it be easier to have a subforum of the s-type for the R? I'm doing my own research on the STR that I'm picking up next week but have to filter through all the regular S-type info. It seems like the STR has a bunch of specific items.

Just a suggestion....

Eh, I don't think there are enough posts on STRs to warrant it. Also, how is Orlando? I miss it down there

I agree and the search function here is pretty vague. Its a lot to weed through for sure but I have learned a lot about the S class in general LOL.

Remember the search feature will NOT search 3 letter words so if you type STR its not even gonna recognize it. The problem with having an STR subforum is there still is alot that is similiar. So just having a general S type gets you a broader response as a 4.2 owner may of have the same problem. I totally see your point though and I think the majority of the problem is you cannot narrow a search by searching topic STR and so many people say STR that if you searched S type R probably wont be much.

Sorry I disagree. The STR is WAY too rare to support this. There have been at least one STR forum in the past and when I just checked it is no longer working. We are lucky this forum has as much action as it does. Look at some of the other Jaguar forums. Little to nothing going on.

The real key is learning to search properly. A TON of stuff has already been discussed and is on this site.

I always use google to search any web forum because the internal search functions are usually not that good. Just add 'site:jaguarforums.com' to the query to search only this site.

Good info I almost forgot about that and I just had a class and thats a point they hit on for doing a research paper and sticking to .gov's and .edu's. That should also help you by allowing you to now search 3 letter words so you can put STR in your search queue.

Awesome point tot.

There we go...just the info I need. As discussed the whole "STR" search will not work so this will help a lot.

Is the STR really that 'rare' that a subforum wouldn't support it? When I was shopping for one I had a saved search under Autotrader and about 1 every 3 days was popping up for sale....

By the way, it's still sunny but the unemployment rate is bad here. Which is funny because we can't find a reliable dishwasher or servers for our restaurant. Everyone out of work that has applied for a job with us seems to want a job with little work and lots of pay. Wouldn't that be nice? Show up to work, text your friends all day, then head home for a nice night playing X-box with your online buddies.....oh wait, Google employees already do that.

I'm in the Dr Phillips area. There was a black one parked in front of my MR2 about a week ago over at the Marketplace. This upcoming Thursday and she will be mine! I've never bought a car sight unseen so this should be interesting....

Dang wish I knew you were that close I was in Sorrento/Sanford last July with my STR. My grandfather lives out in the country near Sorrento. Next time I go visit him I'll let you know. I have an Aunt that lives in Lake Mary. Gonna try and take a trip down there sometime this summer may be towards the end with the meet in June coming so I'll let you know.

The reason there are so few on here is because most of us are on the other forum - https://www.i-paceforum.com - I just saw this one

The 2020 Ipace btw is off the chain!
