Brutal? I've tried to throw a few trinkets his way...anyone remember his worlkdwide license plate drive for his collection displayed in his garage? I also dropped off some Red Stuff pads from my xk8 with less than 500 miles on then. He has lots of fast toys that go through wear items quickly, I imagine.

i'm curious, has anyone with an 03 tried just clearing the adaptations using the dealer software (as we all found out, a hard reset doesn't change the TCM behavior) and followed the specific driving cycle to teach it? Then after a couple hundred miles, and the infant learns to walk again, try the launch and check shift points?

 

I've thought about that, but how much redline driving would it take? I think I need to move out west to Texas and take advantage of the 85mph speed limit

 

how much does the dealer charge for a reflash?

 

They're inconsistent, call 'em.

 

I was able to negotiate the price lower with my favorite dealership. They know I'm about 80 miles away from them so they always work with me if I ask politely....

 

The TCM can be reflashed by having bratwurst with sauerkraut after 3:00 PM on a Tuesday.


Do not use frozen products as that will interfere with the update.
