I am looking for picking up some new summers/AS in 235/50/17.

I was wondering if going down to an aspect ratio of 45 will make any functional difference. It will turn out to be little over a centimeter. I think there are more tires available and in slightly better prices at the lever aspect ration.

So, whats you guys saying? Also, sorry for such a lame and stupid question.

Functional speaking so long as you change all four to the same ratio it won't make a difference.
It will make the ride a little rougher and will cause the final drive ration to be slightly different along with affecting the speedo by 1-2mph. It will also of course be shorter in size and you may or may not like the look.
