Default stype rear brake pads

need to change my sons rear break pads..got the pads just need some advice please..2000/3ltr

Aside from remembering to release the EPB and fooling with the tool to retract the pistons, it's pretty straight forward. Gus did an excellent 'follow along' tutorial with pics. This can be found in the FAQs at the top.

No, it was edited by a well-meaning member who had control of the relevant forum part. I have no such.

It's still better than nothing.

The whole issue is made far worse because the wretched forum software ignores anything of 3 or fewer chars.

As others said- electronic parking brake. I'd bet there's just as many that are happy they don't have one as do. It's nice to not have the handle next to the driver's seat but on the other hand it's just another gadget that can get fiddly and act up. I have a love hate relationship with mine.

You're not kidding. I had just pulled off of the highway and into a parking lot when I heard my mother-in-law (sitting in front passenger seat) say "what's this?"

The car abruptly slowed and almost stopped before I figured out that she had pulled the brake switch.

substitute it for an ejector seat switch..only jesting
