On our '01 s-type, the sunroof moves anywhere from 0 to an inch or two each time the switch is pressed - no matter what direction the switch is pressed. I've searched for answers but came up empty. I've seen folks discuss the "reset" procedure but I can't even get the forward "auto-tilt" to work (step #1).

Any experience with this issue out there?

 

I had same problem but only when closing the roof. Replacing the motor solved it.
