Default Super Cheap STR!

Boy this is getting cheap! $6000 for a 2003 STR. Does have an engine noise but that's rare so don't know if it will require a new engine or not?

Ever price a engine for a STR? My bet is it has a rod knocking and needs a engine replacement, add the cost of engine and install you might as well double the price or more.

Not such a good deal.

Now there is another 2005 s type that is posted on here that has some minor fixable problems that I would love to jump all over if I had the extra cash on hand.

That car is in my hometown.

He's had it for a while and slowly come down on the price (Started at 8k). It's still too expensive for what it is, a 106k mile 2003 STR in mediocre cosmetic shape, with engine damage of an unknown but possibly catastrophic nature. The car has never been registered or inspected in NJ, and has a VA inspection sticker which is out of date on the windshield.

Without the engine damage the car is worth maybe $8k.

I may pick it up if I can negotiate a "fair" price for it. And either cherry pick and then part it, or possibly fix it depending on what's broken.

That 05 with the electrical issues 95% needs an alternator. A new battery with an in tact charging system will only cause the parking brake reset error. He put a new battery, but still getting electrical hell, which makes me believe the car isn't properly charging.

Take care,

George

You can get a proper "R" engine on EBay right now for $2500. Not that expensive.
