swapped key shells.. now car won't start! any ideas?
got a new shell for my key.. swapped out the circuit board and the Keyblade itself ..now my car won't start. everything acts as if it's going to start but when I turn the key to start... silence. seems like everything is functioning perfectly fine but the starter is not turning?
JagV8.. the shell was cracked and looked real ratty..
Norri.. no I did not swap the transponder. I saw it in there but did not know what it was or how to remove it.

I meant: the cars all came with 2 full keys and some came with a 3rd (valet) key. What happens with those?
It may at least work if you just hold the transponder alongside the mended key. (It gets power via wireless.)
edit: just saw your next post, seems good

yes there was a transponder in the case.. it's my spare key from my wrecked car. I wanted to use it because it is still brand new and the Growler is on the little button. all my other keys are missing the growler..
Did you swap out the transponders as well? The transponder from your wrecked car will not work in the new one as it is not properly programed. It's not that difficult to do just do it carefully and keep then same orientation with the copper end being pointed away from the battery as that's the antenna end and may not work if aimed backwards. The attached file may help as well as answer some nagging questions.
