Hi all,

Not really a question, more of a.... That's strange.

Today I took my wife to her friends house to collect something, stopped the car, she got out and then I realised the house was slightly further down the road so I took my foot of the brake to pull away and the car hesitated and died.
I started it straight away and pulled away. It's seemed Ok since but it's never done that before.

Strange, I just hope it's not a warning of something more serious.

Thanks
Mike.

Any of these might do that: failing battery, vacuum leak, slight misfire (bad coils), and I expect others. You might check for any (pending or full) OBD codes.

Out of interest, have you changed to the metal-bodied tensioners (& replaced guides etc)?

I had to replace a VVT solenoid and whilst the rocker covers were off, I noticed I did have metal bodied upper tensioners. Not sure about the lowers and guides. However, the thermostat housing has been changed to metal too, so I hoping a previous owner didn't scrimp.

It didn't throw up the MIL but I chuck my code reader on it tomorrow and see what I've got.

I have had P0100 a few times without the MIL and that's something to do with the MAF if I remember correctly. Could that have caused a hiccup?

Thanks
Mike.

Hi,

I've checked this morning and it's definitely P0100.

That's a bit of good news, I suppose.

Thanks
Mike.
