Default Is there 2 different green s type colours?

I know one is british racing green, and I think there is also a dark green colour?
Am I right, or is there just the british racing green?

There were two green colors - British Racing Green and a Metallic Green.

There are at least codes:
1753 BRG (may also be 3-letter code HGD)
1957 JRG (jag racing green) metallic aka pearl) (may also be 3-letter code HGZ)

Here's a place for fun:

Forest green is the other, which I have. It can look almost blue or black depending on the lighting.

It does look black man, Im sure in the daylight the green comes out...Either way, I like it.

I was under the impression that one type of green was used for the STR in particular, British Racing Green?

I'd think Jaguar Racing Green

One of the regulars (davewhitt) on the .co.uk forum has pics of his car on his posts (and bigger pics in the appropriate thread). It's a darkish green but nowhere near black. This URL may work:

Mine is British Racing Green.
You can see the difference in colour. One pic is outside in the day and the other is inside the garage during the day.

Funny you mentioned that. I had a mayor issue with a Jaguar dealer who was a little confused last year.

The S Type has 2 green colors in 05 anyway.
Jaguar racing green ( Lots of Pearl and a lighter green ond only avalible on the R model ) and the British racing green ( Darker green more of a flip to black most times avalible on the 3.0 and 4.2 NA )

The Idiot's had to paint my Jag's bumper cover 4 times.

Riski - what's your paint code from the label near door hinges (or maybe door striker)? (Trim code, too, if you like.)

The early years had a Forest Green which was mentioned earlier as well as a medium green (mint?) which was about midway between Seafoam and Jaguar Racing Green.
