Default For those of us who cant do the diy climate control module fix

Hey Guys so I figure I got a lot of help from all the kind people on this forum so now its my turn to give back! As some of you may know i recently had a problem with my a/c (the DCCV was shot and that killed the climate control module). Anyways after I replaced the DCCV (not hard but sure is messy), I pulled the climate control off and saw my burnt traces. I looked at the diy posted on here and it was just something i didn't want to handle. I called every parts place in town and none had a working climate control module in stock. Dealer wanted $1500 for a whole new unit. Long story short i ran into these people online called ModuleMaster. They rebuild ABS modules, climate control modules, instrument clusters, etc.. After I contacted them I shipped out my module. They were very professional and called me when it was done(3 days with shipping). I paid AFTER it was fixed and got a 5 year warranty. the repair job was very professional and my A/C works perfect. Best of all it only cost me $100. I highly recommend you contact this company if you need your CCM fixed. Website: ModuleMaster rebuilds ABS modules for as low as $100, 2 day average turn-around, 5 Year Guarantee

They also do the Navigation CCM but i believe it is $150.

Hope this helps someone!

Nice!! Thanks for sharing this.

This could come in handy with other vehicles too. Getting ABS modules for my Rover is not so easy these days and ungodly expensive for OEM.

I got a couple of brocures from an outfit in MA. calling themselves BBA Remanufacturing Inc. BBA-reman.com 1-866-573-2740 They advertise much the same services but also list throttle bodies and steering racks. They also offer to buy certain cores. I haven't used them but just thought I'd mention.

Thanks to the OP for bringing this up. Huge money can be saved by using these services. I have found this out with repairing restraint systems. Fraction of replacing with new.

If you guys need the ccm fixed, I'd be willing to do it if you were local and or willing to pay shipping both ways. My schedule is a bit tight, but I'm always willing to lend a hand.

Take care,

George

Is there a reset procedure associated with this fix?
I sent off my climate control module to ModuleMaster and they mailed it back fixed.

Just wondering if I need to reset or recalibrate anything after I reinstall the module...

I've already replaced the DCCV and blend door actuator on the passengers side prior to this fix...still blowing hot air out of the passengers vents...cold on drivers side vents with A/C on.

I suspect you already got your answer from JimboV8, over on the so-called "British Jaguar forum," but here is his answer again:

"Here you go,
Wind the fan up to full, this will take it out of auto
1 Select full cooling -Lo
2 Select full heating - Hi
3 Back to full cooling

• Select face followed by floor
• Then select face again
• Finally select defrost"

A couple of suggestions, as you are new:

1, It is better to ask your question in a new thread rather than go and repost one from the "crypt" necessitating forum members reading the entire thread prior to getting to your issue.
2. It is only necessary to ask a question once. Asking the same question in multiple threads generally just confuses matters for those responding.

Enjoy the forums...
