Default P0745 transmission fault

Hello. I was driving my car around today when I gave it some extra gas coming out of a corner. As it was climbing in rpm a let off at about 50 miles per hour. It stayed it that gear after I let off that gas. About 3 seconds after I let off it shifted really hard into the next gear. A gear box fault appeared in my instrument cluster. I scanned to codes and it came back to a P0745. I cleared the codes and took it for a drive. It shifted through all the gears completely fine. One thing I noticed is that it holds 3rd and 4th gear a little longer than it normally did. Any idea what I should do to resolve this from coming back or getting worse?

Welcome, Vinnie. I see that this is your first post. When you get a chance, is is customary (and expected) to post a brief introduction here:

Now, on to your transmission issue. What is your model (I assume it is an S-type), location and model year...? Jaguar fitted two different transmissions over the production life of the S-type, a Ford 5 speed and a ZF 6 spped.
Also, do you know the service history on the transmission and can you share that with us as well... ?

Here's my experience:

A new (rebuilt) solenoid pack took care of the problem. Almost three years ago and still good.

One factor to consider is the logistics of working under the car. You have to lift the car high enough to get underneath, and it must be level to accurately refill the transmission. If you have a lift, it's a piece of cake, but few of us have such equipment. If working with a floor jack and jackstands, it can be tricky. You'll need four tall jackstands for starters. The jack points at the rear of the car are very limited, so there isn't a lot of room to position a jackstand next to the jack. The actual work itself isn't difficult, but the cramped quarters make for a messy, miserable few hours. Depending on your workshop situation, you may want to consider having a shop take care of it and save yourself a lot of grief.

Please provide the vehicle details such as MY and engine fitted.

Before going off into the weeds requiring Karl to come get you, what is the battery voltage across the terminals with the ignition in the OFF position when checked with a voltmeter?

Default P0745 Problem resolved. More have appeared

I did some research and I found out that it was because of my driving habits. With an automatic transmission you have to have fluid flow in order to shift smoothly. When I took my foot off the gas, there isn't any fluid flow causing it to shift hard. Once I changed my driving style the problem resolved itself. Now with my other problems I now have a DSC failure code on my display. I will create a separate post and go more into detail. Also, I would like to apologize for the two year delayed response time.
