Default Timing Chains - Removal of Alt. and Power Steering Pump

Hello - I am removing the front timing chain cover to replace the timing chains and tensioners in my 2002 S Type. I have the front of the engine exposed and the camshaft covers removed. Do I have to remove the air conditioning compressor, power steering pump, and alternator? It looks as though I can simply unbolt the powe steering pump and the alternator and the cover will pull out. Still trying to get the bolt off for the harmonic balancer also but will keep working on that.

Many thanks,

Richard Lindsey

4.0 Liter, V-8 engine, has the orange plastic tensioners (so glad I took it all apart).

Thanks,

Richard Lindsey

That's good news that you caught them in time.

Maybe you should add your car details in your sig? You'll get more help that way.
