Default Tire Sale at Discount Tire....

For you S-Type owners in the market for new tires, I just ordered a new set of four 235/50/17 Continental PureContact with EcoBoost Technology tires from my local Discount Tire store. Through November 2nd they are offering a $70 prepaid Visa card rebate with the purchase of four of these tires. They also gave me a $212 pro-rated credit against my current Dunlop SP Sport Signature tires that lasted just under 38,000 miles against their 60,000-mile treadwear warranty (the Dunlops were installed in early January 2011 by Discount Tire). My new Contis should arrive on Friday or Saturday. After rebate and pro-rated credit, my out-the-door cost for these four new Contis will be $405 with lifetime balancing and repair from Discount Tire. Not bad at all for four new tires that carry a 70,000-mile treadwear warranty. I've been researching 17-inch tires since last December and I believe these Contis will provide me with the best bang-for-the-buck in the Grand Touring All-Season category that best suits my particular car, so I pulled the trigger today....

Save your receipts, rotate your tires appropriately, keep them properly inflated, and you can utilize the various tire warranties to your great benefit when it comes time to replace them....

That's exactly what I paid for 4 Uniroyal Tiger Paws .. I think the Conti are even better tires... Great deal.

$100 per tire? With a warranty? Great find! You can barely score entry level Good Year for that price. Then you get hit up for installation.

Yep, I am indeed pleased with the deal and I believe I will be very happy with the performance and endurance of the new tires....

I expect this to be the final set of tires I will have to install on my S-Type during my remaining ownership duration for this car....

I've put about 400 miles on these new Continental PureContact tires since they were mounted on Monday morning, and about 340 of those miles were in the rain. I really like them - they're quiet, have great wet traction, and track dead-on true. I still believe they will be a great bang-for-the-buck. Time will tell....

The $70 Visa Card mail-in rebate at Discount Tire runs through November 2nd....

Discount Tire has been my go-to tire store for the past several sets of tires I've bought.
Most recently I took advantage of their 4th of July rebate program. I spent 1275 on wheels and tires for my van but got $380 in rebates. I got continentals as well.

I'll probably be looking for the same sale this summer as the tires on the Jag are not going to last very long.

It seems like tires have gotten cheaper in the last 3 months. There sure are some good deals on them. Mine were $480 out the door and your deal is even better. Congrats.

I would like to attest to the ride in Jon's S Type. The ride to Rock Hill was in the rain and varying speeds, at 80 MPH it was no different than 45 MPH, very smooth. After installing the rear sway bar links and returning home, the rear was as solid as a rock. Jon does drive very well and makes a excellent coachman, very rarely going over 90.
I will surely consider these tires when I need a new set, along with DT, they are good and I have no moneys involved, but will accept some at any given moment.
