Default Towing Points

The rubber plug in the rear towing point is being stubborn to remove. Should have done this often as regular maintenance but failed. Now stuck. Is it threaded or just rammed in? If threaded, turning threatens to break the plastic retainer attached?

Are you not able to use the front one?

Im trying to remember now..... I think it just pulls out, not threaded. Is there not a hole at the rear to spray and WD-40 or equivalent?

Front one does not have rubber plug, rear one I cannot remove. Do not need it now but should be ready for deployment.

You sure it's not left hand thread?

Brilliant! My manual only states "remove the plug", no mention of left hand thread.

Removed the plug. Must break the plastic retainer to turn. Had never been removed and was seized. Broke and drilled it out. Need a tap and die set or thread cleaner to finish. Bottom line is remove every couple of years and grease! Forward end is open and entire unit full of grit. Now need to buy new plugs.
