Transmission oil leak.
Hi guys
My jag s type r has a oil leak from one of the tranny oil pan bolts. I would have to solve this problem but would like to know where do i fill up the oil, and how do I know when it is enough?
Thanks,Marco

There is a plug on the RH side of the transmission that needs to be removed with the car running. The fluid is checked when it is between 30-50* C, while the car is running on a level surface. This is not going to be easy for you without a lift, or having the car safely on jack stands.
Be safe.

+1 on what Jagtec1 said.
If you need more info head over to the S section and you will find extensive info on transmission fill procedures.
Are you sure it's a bolt? There is a sleeve in the box that has been known to leak, again lot's of info in the s section.

I see the OP was back in Nov., if you haven't read this https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=30991 then this is what you are looking for. I'll bet it isn't a pan bolt that is leaking but the rubber sleeve that has been mentioned.
