Maybe the shop owner keeps a broken shaft handy to show customers?

A good friend worked in a transmission shop many years ago. The owner kept a supply of metal shavings. Any time a pan was removed, surprise! It was always full of debris to show the customer.

I was going to have him send me a pic of the broken parts but haven had time to call him back.
He said there was no codes.
I sure he will save the parts so I can look at them.
Think I'm the 3rd owner on this rig. Who knows how it was treated before I got it.
had it since late December of 2018.
I do know we got in-between a rock and a hard place about 6 moths ago.
I lent it to my 23 year old son to dive back and forth to work because I had to use my truck for work.
That came with a huge discussion. Basically a Red Foreman moment about foot in the *** if something happened to it.
Well I know what I would have done at his age so i'm sue there was some peddle to the metal.
Cant prove anything. Any abuse adds up over time.
I know I myself sometimes get some wire crossed and have to go but not from a stop.
Don't like paying 320 a piece for new toyo tires.
