Trip Meter does not work

Trip Meter does not work
I have a 2005 S-Type 4.2 with a trip meter that does not seem to come on. I pushed the A/B button on the console but nothing appears on the dash reader.
Can anyone advise me how to negotiate this problem?

(I chose Search, then Advanced Search, put in trip button then selected just this forum.)
Otherwise, you may need to check the switches/buttons and refer to the Electrical Guide.
